Don't worry! Your friends don't hate you!
If you've noticed that you are no longer seeing updates from ALL of your friends and that some people seem to be ignoring you on your Facebook newsfeed, it's not because they've intentionally blocked you.
According to engineer Matt Kelly, the "New Facebook" has changed their newsfeed default setting to automatically show ONLY posts from people who you interact with the most, or have interacted with you recently.
In fact, Matt says, "unless your friends/fans commented on one of your posts within those few weeks or vice versa â€" you are now invisible to them and they are invisible to you!!"
UGH!!
As with all things Facebook, you need to go back into settings and edit the options yourself.
Here's what to do if you want to see your friends again:
Scroll down to the bottom of the newsfeed on the homepage and click on “Edit Optionsâ€, click on “Show Posts From†and change the setting to “All Of Your Friends and Pages†Note: This is the fix for personal pages but I am unsure of whether or not the business pages are set up the same way.
It's such a shame that Facebook keeps changing their settings and not telling their users!
The company just gets shadier and shadier.
